Daniel - December 2004

  We went on a holiday tour of the MS Governor's Mansion, Capitol, and Old Capitol, where there was a miniature train display!

December 9, 2004 - Daniel's First Birthday!  Daniel always (well, usually!) wakes up with a smile!...

  After playtime and breakfast (Daniel loves to feed himself!)...

...it was time to get ready and go see...

...Daddy!  He was happy to visit with Daniel during lunch and share a birthday cupcake!

  Momma also made cupcakes to take to After School Care (they're arranged in the shape of a "1"!)...

  The After School Care kids had a great time celebrating with Daniel!...

  That night, we celebrated Daniel's birthday with a "Down on the Farm" theme!...

  Momma made a cake shaped and decorated like a big red barn!...

  Daniel got lots of presents (of course!)...

  Momma helped blow out the candle...

  and Daddy fed the birthday boy!

  We are so proud of our big one-year-old!

      During one of Daddy's business trips to Ft Worth, TX, Daddy and Daniel posed for a picture similar to one taken exactly one year earlier!

  We also saw Santa while we were in Texas!

   Santa's favorite little boy has gotten a lot bigger since last year!

Yea!  Daniel learned how to use the sippie cup!

Daniel has lots of new birthday toys to play with...including his "Little People" Farm!

    We always take a family photo in front of the Christmas tree!

  When Daniel wants to see Shep (our border collie), he bangs on the back door's window!  It's not long until Shep's nose is pressed against the glass on the other side!

  Did you know that Santa sometimes drives a fire engine?!

  Being this cute is very tiring!

  Daniel is almost ready to walk by himself!

  Momma loves Daniel so much!

On Christmas morning, Daniel couldn't wait to see what Santa had brought!

  He was also excited to see the rocking horse that Daddy had made by hand!

  Daddy was excited, too!

Daddy and Daniel had lots of fun playing with cars (a red Mustang GT!)...

and trucks on Christmas morning!  Daniel (and Daddy, too!) makes "truck" sounds when he drives them across the living room floor!

After everything had been unwrapped, we enjoyed Christmas brunch before traveling to Birmingham to visit with family and unwrap a lot more presents!

Daniel was VERY good this year, and got lots of fun Christmas presents!

  When we left Grandmamma & Grandaddy's house, Daniel got a surprise!...a big boy, forward-facing car seat!...

  Daniel always thinks it's time to hit the road!
