Daniel - March 2007

  We started off the month by celebrating Momma's birthday!...

  For her gift, Daniel and Daddy took Momma to Memphis for the weekend...

  ...where we stayed at the Peabody Hotel!...

  The views from the roof were really amazing at sunset!...

   and we got to see where the Peabody Ducks live when they're not swimming in the lobby fountain!...

  We went sight-seeing, shopping, and swimming in the hotel pool!...

  We had a great night's sleep...

   and woke up to a fun pillow fight!...

  Then we went to the lobby to watch the ducks march to the fountain!...

   It is tradition that the ducks march into the lobby every morning at 11am, then return to their rooftop home at 5pm every day...

  And on that particular day, Daniel and Momma were chosen at Honorary Duckmasters!...

  The Peabody Duckmaster announced our names and presented us with Peabody rubber duckies before we went to the rooftop to get the ducks!  We rode down the elevator with the ducks, and when the elevator door opened,...

  we followed to ducks to the fountain!...

  The ducks walk REALLY fast, so we had to walk really fast to keep up!

  We had so much fun helping the Duckmaster...

  and being "celebrities" for the day!  During our sight-seeing the rest of the day, several people recognized Daniel and told him what a great job he had done with the ducks!...

  We ate lunch at the Hard Rock Cafe,...

   and walked around Beale Street...

  where Daniel enjoyed showing off his new duckie!...

  Then we took a tour of the city on a Duck Boat, which drives on the road like a bus, then floats on the Mississippi River like a boat!...

  Then we stopped back by the Peabody..

  checked on "our" ducks,...

  and decided to head home!

  A few weeks later, Momma and Daniel went to Texas with Daddy for a business trip.  Momma has two good lookin' cowboys!!
