Christmas 2007
Our house decorated during the day...
We also decorated the deck of the workshop...
and put a tree (decorated with tool ornaments) in the workshop!
In the kitchen, we had a live tree decorated with antique cookie cutters,
decorations on the counters, and garland and live magnolia branches on top of
the cabinets...
from the kitchen, you can see into the living room, and between the two rooms...
is a tree decorated with vintage kitchen utensils.
In the living room, behind the loveseat, there is a tree with family photos,...
and on the counter between the living room and kitchen, there is a "moving" manger
scene. A few days prior to Christmas, we put the Mary & Joseph figurines a couple
of feet away from the stable, and every day we move them a few inches closer.
On Christmas Eve, Daniel placed them in the stable, and on Christmas morning,
placed baby Jesus there, too! Beyond the kitchen is the laundry room,
where we have a small, decorated tree!
The living room has lots of garland, and next to chair and ottoman, there is a
live tree...
that we cut down at the farm. We decorated it with ornaments with family
members' names written on them.
We hung our stockings and put live greenery next to the hearth.
A view of the living room from upstairs
On the other side of the living room, we have our big Christmas tree!...
Lane loves to display her ornament collection!
A view from the living room into the foyer (through the arch is the dining room)
There are several trees in the foyer! The one between the living room and
foyer is decorated with cookies and icicles....
There are live magnolia branches on the china cabinet, and a tree on each side of
it...
one of them is a "Roll TIde" tree with University of Alabama ornaments,...
and the other is a "Farm" tree with hunting and fishing ornaments!
The other side of the front door is decorated, too!
From the foyer, you can see the dining room...
between the two rooms is Lane's snowman collection!
The dining room is decorated with another tree and more live magnolia branches.
In the cut-out between the dining room and living room is the Christmas village.
Between the dining room and kitchen
We have a Bama study, and decorated it accordingly...
and Alabama Christmas decorations!
also has a small tree! There's also a tree in the guest bathroom!
At the top of the stairs is our "book nook"...
We displayed several of our Christmas books on the bookshelves, and decorated
the entry to Daniel's bedroom...
Just outside his door, Daniel decorated (all by himself) his very own tree!
He also has a tree in his bathroom!
Our game room (we LOVE board games!)
Daniel got LOTS of presents this year!...
Christmas 2006
We had so much fun celebrating Christmas this year! Daniel was really excited about Santa, decorated his Christmas tree all by himself, and even learned to sing "Jingle Bells" and "Rudolph"!
Daniel helped decorate Grama's tree...
and the tree we cut down off of our property in the country!
We hosted our Sunday school class party at our house...
and had a great time. We also hosted Lane's Bible study group.
The dining room tree has decorations shaped like cookies, cupcakes, gingerbread
men and houses, and ice cream cones!
The kitchen tree has antique cookie cutters on it!
Daniel got lots of great toys this Christmas!
Christmas 2005
We had a great Christmas this year! We celebrated Daniel's birthday, went Christmas shopping and saw Santa, went to Canton for Christmas on the Court Square, and went to Zoolight Safari at the Birmingham Zoo when we were visiting with family!
The dining room (all the tree ornaments look like cookies, gingerbread men, and
cupcakes!)
The kitchen (all the tree ornaments are antique Christmas cookie cutters!)
We love decorating the living room!!
The other side of the living room!
Daniel loves all of his new toys!!
Santa was also very good to Daddy...
Christmas 2004
We have been so busy this holiday season! The first part of the month, we had Daniel's birthday, then we spent a week in Ft Worth, TX, then we were home for a week, then we visited in Birmingham for several days!
We love to decorate our home for Christmas!
We have a lot of special ornaments on the tree!...
...and special decorations that we put on the mantel and hearth every year!
We also have a snowman collection (on the built-in cabinet)...
and a tree with family photos!
The living room decorations even spill over into the foyer...
we put Lane's grandmother's ornaments on the foyer tree!
We also decorated the kitchen (the tree's ornaments are all shaped and decorated
like cookies, cupcakes, and gingerbread men!)...
But Daniel got the most presents of all!
Christmas 2003
We spent the week before Christmas at home, and spent the following week in Birmingham visiting with family!
Like last year, we decorated the living room with lots of
garland and FOUR Christmas trees!
We love our new 9 foot tree! It really shows off our ornament collection!
We even decorated the door to Daniel's nursery!
We enjoy baking (and decorating!) cookies during the holidays! Lane enjoys
wearing the apron she monogrammed with her embroidery machine!
On Christmas morning, Daniel found a new red wagon waiting for him in the living
room!
Momma and Daddy can't wait till he's big enough to play with it!
Momma got a "Mom" Precious Moments figurine.
Santa brought Daniel lots of toys...several kids' CD's, bibs, Little Golden
Books, a Spanish book, elephant rattles, and a model airplane (like the one
Daddy works on)!
Santa brought lots of goodies to Lane....
Christmas 2002
We spent several days visiting in Birmingham, then returned home Christmas night to spend our first Christmas together!
We used wreaths, garlands, poinsettias, a wooden Santa sign, and a Pooh flag to
decorate outside.
We also used lots of lights! Alan did a great job hanging the icicle
lights from the steep roof!
We had four Christmas trees in the living room! This is the main one!
We had a small tree behind our new leather couch!
We decorated the entire living room! We even put a snow village on the
coffee table!
We had another small tree next to our new chair, and the fourth Christmas tree
was in the foyer doorway. It looked really great from the road, with the
lights shining behind the beveled glass!
Lane put her snowman collection on the built-in entertainment center.
The dining room was decorated, too, with greenery and Christmas ornaments
hanging from the chandelier!
